- What is the Rider’s Edge® About the Bikes Course?
- About the Bikes™ – An Intro to the Motorcycle Models is an educational and interactive 2 1/2 hour course that takes place in our Rider’s Edge® classroom and motorcycle showroom. There is no riding in the About the Bikes class. It’s designed to bridge the gap between new riders and a new bike purchase.
- Why does Illinois Harley-Davidson offer this course?
- Graduates of our Rider’s Edge® New Rider Course have told us they are interested in increasing their motorcycle knowledge. This course offers us an opportunity to help.
- How long is this course?
- The About the Bikes™ course requires 2-1/2 hours on one day.
- Would I benefit from this course?
- If you’re a recent graduate of the Rider’s Edge® New Rider Course or even if you have a motorcycle already but would like to learn more, this course is for you. The About the Bikes™ course provides an introduction to Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycle models, including features, specifications, history and modifications that will make your new bike fit you better.

- About the Bikes™ is not a sales pitch! It’s a non-threatening learning environment that aims to increase your knowledge, excitement and confidence about making your motorcycle purchase.

- No catch. About the Bikes™ is offered free to our students and customers so we can help you make a better decision about buying a motorcycle.
