Demito Time Villa Park 10/28

Welcome to Villa Park Illinois

Our last Wednesday Night Ride of the year was held on October 28, 2009. We were blessed once again with great weather, and about 60 Harleys rode with us from the store in Berwyn to Demito Time in Villa Park Illinois. We gave Deb Demito a heads-up early in the day that we’d be coming, but had to revise our earlier estimate upward when we saw the number of bikes that showed up.

Since Villa Park is just about 11 miles west of Berwyn, we chose to take the long route to Demito Time. We headed west on Cermak Ave., then south a bit to 31st Street. 31st Street is always nice and clear from Wolf Road to Highland, with very few stoplights and light traffic. When 31st dead-ends into Highland, we head north, then west again on Butterfield, through Lombard all the way to Route 53. Route 53 runs through the forest preserves, which are beautiful this time of year, even in the dark.

Route 53 turns into Columbine Avenue, then crosses under I-355, and before you know it, you’re at St. Charles Road. We headed east on St. Charles toward Villa Park, turned right on Villa Ave. and ended up right in front of Demito Time.

Debbie Demito did a great job, setting us up with both inside and outside seating, and a fine assortment of appetizers and snacks.
