Our Friend Richard ‘Boo’ Robins
Richard “Boo” Robins has been a part of the Illinois Harley-Davidson/Buell family since July 2000. In May 2009, Boo was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma in his neck. After reviewing the size of the tumor and progression of the cancer, Boo and his team of doctors decided to remove his tonsils. Following the surgery, Boo survived eight weeks of radiation treatment and three chemotherapy treatments. During the course of his treatment, Boo was forced to use a feeding tube due to a lack of saliva and painful swallowing caused by the radiation therapy. Today, there are no visual signs of the tumor and Boo is recovering at a rapid pace. Boo was able to defeat cancer at 52 years old.
